New-Energy Vehicle Startups Report August Deliveries: Leapmotor Surpasses 100,000 Units While Harmony Intelligent Mobility Exceeds 42,000

On September 1st, several new-energy vehicle (NEV) startups unveiled their delivery figures for August 2026. Leapmotor reported a global delivery volume of 103,129 units for the month, marking a robust year-over-year increase of 80.7%.

NIO Inc. delivered 35,836 new vehicles in August 2026, a 14.5% increase compared to the same period last year. This total comprises 21,174 units delivered under the NIO brand, reflecting a substantial 101.2% annual growth; 8,810 units from the Onvo brand; and 5,852 units for the firefly sub-brand, which saw a 34.7% rise year-on-year.

XPeng Inc. delivered a total of 39,107 vehicles during August, achieving a 4% year-over-year growth. Meanwhile, Li Auto delivered 37,679 vehicles in the same month. As of August 31, 2026, Li Auto's cumulative historical deliveries have reached 1,801,834 units.

According to official statements from Xiaomi Corp. dated September 1st, its vehicle deliveries for August 2026 continued to consistently exceed the 30,000-unit threshold for the month. In parallel, Harmony Intelligent Mobility delivered 42,101 units in August, bringing its cumulative deliveries for the year to a 10.8% year-over-year increase.

Huajing Automobile achieved a monthly delivery volume of 7,306 units in August, marking its fourth consecutive month of steady growth. Additionally, Zeekr revealed on September 1st that it delivered 36,981 new vehicles during August, an impressive year-over-year surge of 109.8%.
