DUIBA (01753) jumped more than 11% in early trading Thursday, extending a rally that has seen its shares more than triple over the past 10 sessions. The stock was last up 5.77% at HK$0.55, with turnover reaching HK$1.73 million.

The surge follows the release of the company's interim results, which showed total revenue of RMB 435 million in the first half, up 24.34% year-on-year. Notably, the AI short drama business, officially launched only in January this year, contributed RMB 223 million, accounting for 51.2% of total revenue and emerging as the primary growth driver.

According to public data from Douyin's native platform, DUIBA's AI short dramas climbed from zero views to the top of the charts within just six months, securing the industry's second position by July. On August 31, China's first AIGC feature-length drama to air on mainstream television, "Journey to the West: The Later Chapters," premiered on Mango TV and later hit Hunan Satellite TV's prime-time slot at 8 PM. This milestone marks the transition of AI content from short dramas to full-length productions and from online platforms to mainstream broadcasters, opening new possibilities for the commercialization of the AI film industry.
