China SCE Group (01966) has published its 2025 Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Report, outlining delivery milestones, environmental metrics and updated governance practices.
• Operating performance and delivery – The developer handed over about 2.71 million sq.m. of properties during 2025, reaffirming its “Ensure Delivery” commitment. – The land bank stood at 21.15 million sq.m. across 55 mainland cities as at 31 December 2025.
• Climate strategy and targets – All new projects are designed to meet China’s Green Building Two- or Three-Star standards. – A third-party climate-risk assessment covered seven key assets and identified nine material risks and opportunities. – Total greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) reached 1,358.10 tCO₂e, giving a GHG intensity of 0.04 tCO₂e per sq.m. operated; energy-use intensity was 0.08 MWh per sq.m. – Total energy consumption amounted to 2,705.50 MWh; water use was 23,206.40 m³, or 0.66 m³ per sq.m.
• Waste and resource management – Hazardous waste totalled 3.20 tonnes, while non-hazardous waste was 83.10 tonnes. – The company promotes rain-water reuse, smart irrigation and wider adoption of prefabricated components on sites.
• Supply-chain oversight – China SCE worked with 2,068 suppliers in 2025 and evaluates them annually on ESG performance. Environmental clauses and an “Integrity Management Agreement” are mandatory in contracts.
• Workforce and safety – Headcount stood at 1,040 (900 in regional units, 140 at headquarters). – Zero work-related fatalities were reported for the third consecutive year; one injury case resulted in 19 lost workdays. – Average employee-satisfaction score reached 96.8; 349 staff received 1,074.50 training hours during the year.
• Community investment – Charitable donations exceeded RMB 2.00 million, focused on education initiatives such as the long-running “China SCE Student Aid” and “Yangfan Class”, now benefitting more than 150 rural students annually.
• Governance enhancements – Board-level oversight of ESG was strengthened, supported by a Sustainable Development Steering Committee. – Anti-corruption controls include mandatory integrity pacts with suppliers and staff; no significant corruption cases were reported in 2025.
Looking ahead, China SCE will pivot from “Ensure Delivery” to “Refine Operations” in 2026, with emphasis on completed-property sales, high-quality handovers and progressive climate-related target setting.
