GEELY AUTO’s August Sales Advance 8% to 0.27 Million Units, Driven by EV Uptick and Strong Exports

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (GEELY AUTO) reported a total sales volume of 270,194 vehicles in August 2026, a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 8%. Year-to-date (YTD) deliveries reached 1.94 million units, edging 2% higher than the same period last year.

Monthly Highlights • Core Geely-branded models sold 216,186 units in August, up 5% YoY, with the sub-brand Galaxy contributing 119,115 units (+8% YoY). • Premium EV marque ZEEKR more than doubled its August sales to 36,981 units (+110% YoY). • LYNK & CO volume declined 37% YoY to 17,027 units.

NEV Performance • Battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) totaled 120,590 units, rising 29% YoY. • Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) added 55,287 units, up 2% YoY. • For the first eight months, BEV sales stood at 0.69 million units (-1% YoY), while PHEVs grew 45% YoY to 0.45 million units.

Export Momentum Overseas shipments surged 205% YoY to 110,094 units in August and accounted for roughly 41% of the month’s total sales. Cumulative exports reached 0.69 million units, representing 170% YoY growth.

Proton Contribution Associate brand Proton recorded 22,426 units in August (+47% YoY) and 137,192 units YTD (+29% YoY), supplementing the Group’s broader sales footprint, though its figures are disclosed separately from GEELY AUTO’s consolidated totals.
