Bank of Chongqing (BCQ) released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting record scale, solid profitability and rapid expansion in green and inclusive finance.
Key financials • Total assets rose 20.7% to 1,033.73 billion yuan. • Customer deposits grew 19.3% to 565.70 billion yuan; total loans increased 20.6% to 531.29 billion yuan. • Operating income climbed 10.50% to 15.10 billion yuan, while net profit advanced 10.60% to 6.10 billion yuan. • Asset quality remained stable with a non-performing loan ratio of 1.14% and allowance coverage at 245.58%.
Green and sustainable finance • Green finance outstanding reached 97.70 billion yuan, up 31.00% year on year. • Green credit balance stood at 84.30 billion yuan, a 40.00% increase. • The bank issued RMB13 billion in green financial bonds and invested USD0.74 billion in offshore green bonds.
Inclusive, tech and rural finance • Inclusive loans to micro and small businesses rose 26.00% to 76.76 billion yuan, serving more than 29,000 market entities. • Outstanding loans to tech enterprises surged 60.00% to 55.27 billion yuan; loans to small and micro tech firms totaled 16.76 billion yuan. • Agriculture-related loans grew 17.28% to 52.52 billion yuan, with inclusive agriculture lending up 27.00%.
Pension and consumer finance • Customers aged 50 and above reached 2.80 million, holding assets of 251.30 billion yuan; loans to the elderly-care sector exceeded 700 million yuan. • The online consumer loan product “Jie E Dai” surpassed 10 billion yuan in outstanding balance.
Digital transformation and risk control • The “Chong Yin Xiao AI” large-language-model platform went live, raising operational efficiency and supporting intelligent AML monitoring. • The bank’s data aggregation and core-business digitization rates both achieved 100%. • The upgraded internal control framework kept major operational incidents at zero and maintained compliance with regulatory requirements.
Governance and recognition • BCQ’s corporate governance evaluation has held the top regulatory rating among urban and rural commercial banks for five consecutive years. • The bank received the 2025 Golden Bull Award for Corporate Governance and was ranked in The Banker’s “Top 1000 World Banks” for the tenth year running.
Outlook Management underscored that 2026 marks the opening year of BCQ’s 15th Five-Year Plan and pledged to deepen service to strategic initiatives, bolster support for the real economy and further integrate ESG principles to sustain high-quality growth.
