Bank of Chongqing Reports 10.4% Rise in First-Quarter Net Profit

On April 28, Bank of Chongqing Co., Ltd. released its first-quarter report for 2026. According to the data, the bank achieved operating revenue of 3.996 billion yuan during the reporting period, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.57%. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached 1.793 billion yuan, up 10.4% compared to the same period last year.

As of March 31, 2026, the bank's total assets stood at 1.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 74.404 billion yuan, or 7.20%, from the end of the previous year. Customer deposits totaled 614.901 billion yuan, rising by 49.197 billion yuan, or 8.70%, from the end of the prior year. Total customer loans and advances amounted to 562.903 billion yuan, an increase of 31.618 billion yuan, or 5.95%, compared to the end of the previous year.

In terms of asset quality, the bank's non-performing loan balance was 6.259 billion yuan, up by 226 million yuan from the end of the last year. The non-performing loan ratio was 1.12%, a decrease of 0.02 percentage points from the end of the previous year. The provision coverage ratio reached 246.60%, rising by 1.02 percentage points from the end of the prior year.
