Black Sesame (02533) saw its shares open 4% higher in early trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. At the time of writing, the stock was trading up 4% at HK$10.65, with turnover reaching HK$1.1257 million.

The upward movement comes as the company announced significant progress in its collaboration with Aubo Robotics in the field of embodied intelligent robotics. The two companies have established a multi-level partnership encompassing project applications, joint research and development, and commercial supply arrangements. Black Sesame has completed the delivery of its initial batch of Aura Devkit development kits to Aubo Robotics, officially empowering the development of Aubo's collaborative robot products.

Additionally, Aubo Robotics, together with Black Sesame, several other enterprises, and academic institutions including Tsinghua University, have jointly formed a consortium to apply for the "Chain Leader Enterprise Project" under the national initiative for high-quality development of key manufacturing industry chains. The flagship product for this project is a dual-arm collaborative robot designed for consumer electronics assembly applications. As one of the core implementation entities, Black Sesame will undertake the research and development as well as industrialization tasks for embodied intelligent computing chips and modules, while also supporting the consortium in overcoming key technical challenges for complete machine integration and demonstrating practical applications.

Looking ahead, both parties plan to build on this collaboration to deepen product coordination and technological breakthroughs across multiple scenarios, including industrial manufacturing, commercial services, and educational research. The partnership aims to leverage domestically-produced computing power to drive innovation in the robotics industry and accelerate the large-scale commercialization of embodied intelligent technologies.
