On the news front, the company earlier reported its interim results, posting revenue of approximately HK$1.258 billion for the first half, gross profit of around HK$584 million, and net profit attributable to shareholders of about HK$100 million.
Notably, the group has been quick to seize the massive power demand opportunity driven by the rapid global growth in AI investment. Guoyuan International previously issued a research note stating that, from a medium-to-long-term perspective, the company's investment thesis is shifting from that of a pure domestic wind and solar operator to a multi-engine growth model combining domestic existing operations, long-term overseas PPA agreements, and US data center business development. Coupled with its overseas PPA long-term contracts and a project pipeline exceeding 4GW in the US, along with data center development activities, this could unlock new growth avenues over the next two to three years.
