On August 28, WUXI XDC fell 3.18% in regular trading, trading at HK$73.2/share with turnover of HK$248 million, marking the third consecutive session of decline following a post-earnings surge of over 13%.

On the news front, WuXi AppTec announced on August 27 that it sold 53.524 million shares of WUXI XDC via block trade on August 26, representing approximately 4.23% of total shares outstanding, at a transaction value of approximately HK$3.92 billion. The disposal is expected to generate a pre-tax profit impact of approximately RMB 3.143 billion. This marks the fifth reduction by WuXi AppTec since November 2024, with cumulative proceeds totaling approximately HK$10.87 billion. WuXi AppTec stated the funds will be used to focus on its core CRDMO business and global capacity expansion.

WUXI XDC had previously surged over 13% on August 25 after reporting strong interim results, with first-half revenue of RMB 3.701 billion (up 37% YoY) and adjusted net profit of RMB 1.027 billion (up 37.4% YoY). The sustained shareholder disposal has intensified near-term selling pressure on the stock following its sharp post-earnings rally.
