Kazakhstan Development Bank's 3.7 Billion Yuan Offshore RMB Panda Bonds Set to List on Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 10

On September 3, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited announced its welcome for the issuance of offshore RMB bonds by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, with the bonds expected to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 10.

The total issuance size stands at 3.7 billion yuan in offshore RMB, comprising two tranches with maturities of 5 years and 10 years, catering to the diverse needs of different investors. The Development Bank of Kazakhstan first issued dim sum bonds in Hong Kong last year.

This transaction marks the largest dim sum bond issuance project among quasi-sovereign issuers in Central Asia to date, reflecting the sustained interest of regional issuers in the offshore RMB market. So far this year, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited has welcomed over 180 new bond listings.
