China Power’s Subsidiary SPIC Hydropower Delivers 123% YoY Net-Profit Jump to RMB 1.19 Billion in 1H 2026

China Power International Development Limited (China Power, 02380.HK) has disclosed the unaudited interim results of its 50.69%-owned subsidiary, SPIC Hydropower Co., Ltd., for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

Revenue and Earnings • Revenue rose 2.45% year on year to RMB 6.05 billion, reflecting resilient electricity sales despite a high base in 2025. • Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 123.14% to RMB 1.19 billion. • Excluding extraordinary items, net profit expanded to RMB 1.19 billion from RMB 9.38 million a year earlier, driven mainly by the post-restructuring consolidation of assets. • Basic earnings per share more than doubled to RMB 0.27 (1H 2025: RMB 0.12).

Balance-Sheet Highlights (30 June 2026 vs. 30 June 2025, restated) • Total assets increased 4.10% to RMB 66.17 billion. • Equity attributable to shareholders grew 5.74% to RMB 17.99 billion, underscoring a strengthened capital base following the late-2025 asset restructuring.

Corporate Context SPIC Hydropower became a subsidiary of China Power after an asset restructuring completed in late 2025. In line with PRC GAAP treatment for business combinations under common control, 2025 comparatives have been retrospectively restated.
