China Shipbuilding Industry Group's (SHA:600482) attributable profit rose 43% to 1.31 billion yuan in the first half from 919.2 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share at the shipbuilder increased to 0.58 yuan from 0.41 yuan in the prior-year period.
Operating revenue grew 12% year over year to 30.8 billion yuan from 27.7 billion yuan.
Company shares rose nearly 2% during afternoon trading on Monday.
