Kokuyo (TYO:7984) said it will launch a 2.8 billion yen share buyback, repurchasing 3.1 million common shares through an open market transaction on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The repurchases will be conducted on a contract basis between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
As of Aug. 31, the company plans to repurchase 16.8 million shares for over 14 billion yen under its 15 billion yen buyback program launched on April 16.
