Western Region Gold (SHA:601069) resumed the production of Ortokanesh No. 1 Manganese Mine on Aug. 28 after it had been rectified, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.

The mine is operated by the gold miner's subsidiaries, Aktao Baiyuanfeng Mining and Xinjiang Mengxin Tianba Mining Investment, which underwent the company's special inspections for safety management after multiple safety hazards were found at their mines.

Baiyuanfeng's Ortokanesh No. 3 Manganese Mine has not yet resumed production.
