Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) executed all major contracts for the first stage of its Waroona renewable energy project in Western Australia, comprising a 132-megawatt solar facility paired with an 81.5-megawatt battery energy storage system, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Major equipment and construction contracts were fixed price and in line with its expectations. The fixed-price contracts form the majority of the AU$310 million project budget.

Engineering, procurement, and construction contracts were executed with Monford Group for the construction and commissioning of the solar-battery energy storage system facility, as well as with Global Power Services for the substation works.
