VSE (VSEC, VSECU) said Monday it has purchased Atech Turbine Components, a specialized aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) firm focusing on complex hot-section components for aircraft turbine engines.

The acquired company holds more than 300 proprietary repair approvals covering part numbers and operates as the sole-source provider for many flight-critical repairs across multiple engine platforms manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Canada, the company said.

The aerospace aftermarket services provider plans to significantly expand Atech's capacity and capabilities to accelerate the development of new proprietary repairs and support future organic growth, VSE said.
