Hyundai Motor (KRX:005380) has signed an MOU with Oman's MTCIT to support the nation's Vision 2040 smart city strategy, positioning itself as a key partner in sustainable urban development and carbon neutrality.

The one-year, automatically renewable agreement covers eco-friendly mobility solutions, including electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, according to a statement on Friday.

Separately, the group signed a pilot with Mwasalat to run Oman's first hydrogen bus-the 24-seat ELEC CITY Fuel Cell-on Muscat public routes from Q3 2026 to Q3 2027 as actual passenger service.

Additionally, an ultra-fast EV charger will be deployed in Muscat through agreements with local energy and transport sectors.

These moves collectively anchor Hyundai's role in Oman's transition toward sustainable transportation and smart city infrastructure.
