0511 GMT - HSBC raises its forecasts for U.S. Treasury yields across the curve, reflecting its view of a more hawkish distribution of potential pathways for monetary policy and a higher structural floor under long-dated Treasury yields, U.S. rates strategist Dhiraj Narula says in a note. HSBC's new two-year Treasury yield forecast is 4.20% for end-2026 versus 3.85% previously, and 3.95% for end-2027 versus 3.50% previously. It now sees the 10-year Treasury yield at 4.65% by end-2026, up from 4.30% previously, and rising to 4.75% by end-2027, having previously expected it at 4.40% by end of next year. The two-year Treasury yield trades 0.5 basis point higher at 4.338%, while the 10-year yield is up 0.2 basis point at 4.763%, according to Tradeweb.
